A small team building the store operating system.
adash is the AI operating system for the physical side of independent stores — the shelves, coolers, dates, and counts that point-of-sale systems treat as a blind spot.
We believe the independent store deserves operator-grade software — the full argument lives on our mission page. This page is the practical version: what exists, what's being built, and how we work.
adash is currently in its founding pilot stage, working directly with a small cohort of grocery, convenience, and bodega operators. The product runs on real floors today; the AI layer ships in honestly-labeled stages as the data underneath it matures.
Shipped in order, labeled honestly.
The operating core
Store map and zones, location-aware inventory counts, expiration tracking with dollar-ranked alerts, and worker task flows — running today, phone-first.
AI capture
Date-label photo recognition that drafts expiration batches for human confirmation. The first step of the AI layer: kill manual data entry.
Prediction & action
Spoilage-risk forecasts, draft reorders, markdown suggestions, and a daily owner briefing — each shipped only when the data underneath it is real.
Three habits we won't trade away.
On the floor, weekly
Product decisions come from standing in coolers with pilot owners, not from a roadmap document. If it doesn't survive a Tuesday morning rush, it doesn't ship.
Small surface, deep quality
We'd rather do four things at chain-grade than ten things at demo-grade. Features earn their place by saving countable dollars.
AI with a human gate
Every AI capability proposes; a person confirms. That's a product principle and a promise — nothing touches your inventory or your money on its own.
Operators, investors, the curious.
The fastest way to understand adash is to see it on a real floor. Write to hello@a-dash.net or book a 15-minute demo.
